Alpha Telcom, Inc. a privately held company in Grants Pass, Oregon. The company declared a Chapter 11 bankruptcy on August 24, 2001 and was placed into a federal receivership on August 27, 2001.  Thomas F. Lennon was appointed the receiver. My assignment was to work with  Mr. Lennon in all aspects of running the business, bankruptcy administration, selling assets and reporting the financial condition of the company.  There were 160 employees in the company on the date of Mr. Lennon's appointment.  The company was shut down and ceased operations on September 6, 2002.

Acting Chief Financial Officer for Musician's Friend, Inc., a privately held company in Medford Oregon. My assignment was completed with the merger between Musician's Friend and Guitar Center, Inc. which is publicly traded (symbol GTRC). The merger was announced on May 13, 1999 and completed on May 31, 1999 (click her for article from the Business Wire).  During my tenure at Musicians Friend, I assisted the company in moving their financing from a working capital line of credit arrangement with Bank of America to Congress Financial which is an asset based lender. This increased the amount of cash the company was able to borrow during the time they were looking for an equity partner. I put together a proactive business plan with the top management team which was used to attract capital. I was involved in the negotiations and culmination of the completed merger with Guitar Center.
